WineKeg offers a new, sustainable method for distributing served-by-the-glass wine
WineKeg joins the KeyKeg-reseller network of OneCircle to assist the expanding South African wine business. WineKeg will distribute KeyKeg to wine producers nationwide who need wine kegs that lock in consistent freshness, maintain high-quality flavour and maximise shelf life for consumers all over the world.
WineKeg was established in 2015 to provide a better wine-on-tap solution for hospitality companies who were dissatisfied with the wine quality dispensed via wine-in-box packaging or conventional Kegs. With KeyKeg, WineKeg can now meet the expanding domestic and worldwide demand for premium South African wines that are delivered freshly by the glass. By keeping wine and dispensing gas apart, the laminated, airtight, and light-resistant inner bag of the KeyKeg helps to prevent oxidation and CO2 saturation.

Each 20 L KeyKeg replaces over 27 wine bottles, resulting in 16 kg less glass waste. Additionally, empty wine Kegs can be crushed to further conserve space, and KeyKeg reduces the storage footprint of bottled wine by over 50%.
As part of OneCircle’s sustainability initiatives, a global network of Return Partners will be established to provide collection or drop-off locations for empty KeyKegs. The volume of circular content in each new KeyKeg will gradually rise as more consumers return empty KeyKegs to OneCircle. As more customers return empty KeyKegs to OneCircle, the amount of circular content in each new KeyKeg will steadily increase.
