SA Pharma’s advanced air purification tech for wine industry

As one of the largest black-owned pharmaceutical companies in South Africa, 3Sixty Biopharmaceuticals is excited to introduce to Africa cutting-edge NASA technology developed in the US that is being used globally to combat Covid-19 and other problematic airborne pathogens that cause havoc in various sectors – including the wine industry.

While air purification is not considered new, some of the technology being introduced into the market is, which is having a marked impact on the overall effectiveness of combating air-borne pathogens.

Airocide® utilises NASA optimised photocatalytic oxidation (PCO) technology that results in air and any contaminants being drawn from the room into the Airocide® unit and channelled into the reaction chamber. UVC activates the proprietary photocatalyst embedded in the reaction chamber, beginning the photocatalytic process.

Through this airborne pathogen killing technology, millions of hydroxyl radicals are released, and destroy bacteria, mould, fungi, mycotoxins, viruses and allergens, as well as VOCs, converting the organic material into a harmless vapor and clean, clear air.

Airocide® technology is clinically proven and field tested to eliminate airborne pathogenic and non-pathogenic microorganisms, allergens, odours and harmful VOCs in a variety of applications and industries.

To find out more about how these low maintenance and cutting-edge Airocide units can effectively assist with mould and reducing odour in wineries and cellars – among other harmful pathogens – register to attend the upcoming Airocide launch event this month.
