Champion Young Wines of 2023 sought by the oldest wine show
Entries are now being awaited for this year’s SA Young Wine Show, for which winemakers can enter in all the South African wine regions until 22 June and directly at the Show office in Paarl up to 7 July.
International Wine Challenge 2023 awards over 6,000 wines from around the world
The International Wine Challenge, the world's most influential, impartial and rigorously judged global wine competition, has announced the results of its 2023 competition. Thousands of wines from over 50 countries were entered into the competition and blind tasted by an international panel of experts last month, with awards going to over 6,000 wines from across the world. Winemaking heavyweights such as France, Australia and Spain topped the table but there were plenty of surprises too, with Netherlands claiming its first Silver medal and countries such as Egypt and Denmark getting their first taste of medal success.

ROTOCON announces wine label design competition winners
ROTOCON is pleased to announce two winners of its first wine label design competition in partnership with the Tshwane University of Technology’s (TUT) Department of Visual Communication, Faculty of Arts & Design. First prize of R30 000 went to Mpho Moema, a fourth-year student, and in a surprise twist during the winning label selection, ROTOCON also decided to award Jimmy Libese, a third-year student with a runner-up prize of R15 000.
