Avondale donates 15% of online wine sales to support vulnerable communities in Paarl

by | 30 Apr | News

Avondale and Faber have launched a special initiative to support Heart NPO in Paarl.

The Faber team have opened up their kitchen and their hearts to cook for the Heart Community in Paarl.

Heart is based in Paarl and registered for socio-economic work within Paarl and the Drakenstein Municipal Area.

In these uncertain times, there is a huge need in the local community for food due to the high unemployment levels. This has been an issue that was prevalent before the lockdown, but now it’s been magnified even further. With Heart NPO there is existing infrastructure and channels in place which ensures that food is getting to those who need it most.

Not only will the Faber kitchen and staff be utilised in this project, but Avondale will also be contributing vegetables that are available from their garden and a percentage of Avondale’s wines sales after lockdown will go to this project.

How can you get involved:

  • You can help them provide more meals and food product by making a donation from the safety of your own home. Their banking and donations details are here on their website or use the SnapScan option below.
  • You can donate fresh vegetables, dried pulses, pasta or any other food products and deliver this to Faber next week between 08h00 and 17h00.
  • Purchase Avondale wine online and 15% of the value of your order will be donated towards HEART NPO

All purchases of 12 bottles or R2 500 qualifies for free shipment to all major centres in South Africa.
All wines will be delivered as soon as possible after we received the go-ahead from government.
