Due to ongoing concerns around the Coronavirus pandemic, and in light of the government’s announcement on the prohibition of gatherings of 100 people or more, the following events have been cancelled or postponed until further notice.
Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concerts Postponed:Â
• Pumeza Matshikiza and Cape Town Opera postponed from 22 March 2020 to Summer 2021 (Date TBC)
• Jeremy Loops postponed from 29 March 2020 to 29 November 2020
• Andrew Young and Don Vino postponed from 05 April 2020 to Summer 2021 (Date TBC)
Ticket-holders will receive communication via Webtickets regarding the new dates as well as their refund options.
Agbiz 2020 Congress postponed: Scheduled to take place from 15-17 July 2020 at Sun City. In response to COVID-19, Agbiz has taken the difficult decision to postpone the event to early 2021.
New date for WBWE Asia announced: The leading fair devoted to the bulk wine trade in China and originally scheduled for 29-30 May 2020, will now be held on 12-13 July 2020. For more info, send an email to info@worldbulkwine.com.
Other trade fairs postponed: The following trade fairs have been postponed: ProWein, wire, Tube, Beauty, Top Hair and Energy Storage Europe. Alternative dates will be communicated shortly and tickets already purchased will remain valid. For more info, go to www.prowein.com
Elgin Harvest media day postponed: The Elgin Harvest media day has been postponed until further notice. Any new information and developments will be communicated once a new date has been set.
The Juliet Cullinan Standard Bank Wine Festival cancelled: The Cullinan Standard Bank Wine Festival on May 5 and 6 at Summer Place has been cancelled. The new dates for 2021 will be announced soon. For more info, go to www.julietcullinan.co.za.
Harvest Music and Wine Celebration cancelled: Black Elephant Vintners have cancelled the planned Harvest Music and Wine Celebration which would have taken place at the farm on Saturday March 28. Consumers who have already purchased tickets will be contacted by Quicket for a refund.
Swartland information session cancelled: The Swartland information session which would have been held on 7 April has been cancelled until further notice.
Elsenburg Agricultural Training Institute closed: Formal classes have been suspended from Tuesday 17 March 2020. However scheduled tests for Wednesday. 18 March 2020 will continue. The practical scheduled for week of 23-27 March 2020 has been cancelled. Students in hostel accommodation have been requested to vacate their residences and to return home by Thursday, 19 March 2020. Academic classes will resume on 14 April 2020.
The Vegan & Plant Powered Show (VPPS) has been postponed and will now take place on September 5 and 6 this year. The venue remains the same – the CTICC in Cape Town.
Agbiz Congress 2020: The Agbiz Congress that was scheduled to take place from 15 to 17 July 2020 at Sun City, has been postponed to early 2021.
