This port is the result of Boplaas’ signature blend of Portuguese varietals, Touriga Naçional, Tinta Barocca, Souzão and a splash of Touriga Francesca. A dark port with a tinge of bright purple at the rim, bullish tannins with hints of fresh plum, sweet apricots, all-spice, loads of liquorice and fynbos, which dominate the structured palate.
The Cape Vintage Reserve 2007 also celebrates Margeaux Nel’s maiden vintage as winemaker at Boplaas.
